Lorraine Ziegler
Lorraine Ziegler began her classical training in Mexico City, where she was born. She moved to the United States when she was twelve and continued her dance training with the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet School in Santa Fe, New Mexico under the direction of Gisela Genschow, Jean-Philippe Malaty, and Tom Mossbrucker. Growing up she attended The Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensive, the Boston Ballet Summer Dance Program and the Saratoga Summer Dance Intensive.During her college career, she joined the Boston University Dance Theatre where she performed several pieces under Margot Parsons and others, as well as choreographed several pieces herself alongside Anna Herzog. She received a B. Arts in Architectural Studies with minor in dance from Boston University.
Lorraine took some time away from dance to pursue her Masters in Architecture from the University of Colorado in Denver. She graduated in 2020, and has been working at Architectural Alliance since she moved back to Santa Fe. In her free time she loves to hike with her dog Gracie, attend classes at Dirty Laundry, and travel as much as possible. Being a dancer has always been a big part of her identity and so Lorraine is thrilled to be dancing again since she considers coming back to dance as coming back “home.”
